Part Three of The Presentation-

Drugs, Choices, and Consequences

This portion of the presentation is taught by the Clermont County Sheriff’s Department-Drug Narcotics Unit. The agents and undercover agents of the department teach the students the effects of substance abuse. They teach addiction is a chronic disease that will unravel lives. Other than the obvious impact substance misuse has on an addict’s physical and mental health, it can take an enormous toll on their relationships with loved ones, as well as their financial well-being. They also teach the dangers and health effects of smoking and vaping.

Before the students leave this portion of the program they receive a resource guide that gives them local resources for all social support including parenting support, drug abuse support, and local hospitals as well as Children’s Hospital contact info.

Each school has resources available for the students during anddirectly after the program if they need to confide in someone or need support of any kind.
